Media Alert: Neptune's Fall Wine Festival Cancellation

Neptune Festival’s 22nd Annual Fall Wine Festival
~Hurricane Florence brings threats of high wind & rain ~

September 10th, 2018, Virginia Beach-

Due to predicted high winds and rain of Hurricane Florence, the Neptune Festival 22nd Annual Fall Wine Festival scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 15 & 16 in Neptune’s Park at the oceanfront has been cancelled. Ticket holders will be refunded in the same payment form they used to buy their tickets.

Traditionally, the Neptune Festival’s Annual Fall Wine Festival is held rain or shine. However, in anticipation of the impending storm, the Virginia wine vintners and staff who were planning to be onsite for the Festival are needed at home to tend to their vineyards. “Of course, we are terribly disappointed, but in the interest of the safety of our guests, as well as the participating vintners, it’s best to make the difficult decision to cancel,” said Whit Collins, Vice President and COO of the Neptune Festival. “We are very much looking forward to seeing all of Hampton Roads at the Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend at the end of this month, September 28th through the 30th, after this bad weather blows over.”
