(Virginia Beach, VA.) It’s an occasion for celebration as the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival marks its 44th anniversary. Throughout the year, the beloved Neptune Festival offers everything from galas to golf, wine tastings to sporting events. Kicking off the final weeks of the 2017 Festival in August and September is the 3rd Annual Coastal Craft Beer Festival on August 26. In September the Festival gains momentum with annual favorites like Neptune’s Fall Wine Festival (9/9–9/10), Neptune’s Surfing Competition (9/9–9/10), the End of Summer Bay Bash (9/15), and the Senior’s Gala (9/20) as it moves towards its grand finale, Boardwalk Weekend, September 29–October 1, It’s great entertainment for the entire family!

3rd Annual Coastal Craft Beer Festival

Neptune’s Park will be transformed into a craft beer lover’s haven on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival’s 3rd annual Coastal Craft Beer Festival! Over 65 beers from 30 breweries, including 10 exclusive cask ales plus local, regional and national craft beers will be available. Live music and local food trucks, including Malbon’s BBQ and Bro’s Fish Taco’s round out this afternoon of fun. Advanced tickets are $30 and may be purchased up to August 25 (or until pre-sale allotment has been reached). A ticket “six-pack” (6 tickets) is available for $150 ($5 savings per ticket). Tickets purchased on the day of the event, if available, will be $35. All include a souvenir tasting glass and craft beer tastings throughout the day. Neptune Festival Fall Wine Festival

Virginia leading vintners gather during the 21st Annual Neptune Fall Wine Festival. The beautiful backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and a hint of autumn are an ideal setting for Virginia’s premier wineries as they highlight their finest offerings. Festival guests can sample Virginia wines plus enjoy live music and regions finest food trucks including Pino’s Meatballs and A Bite of Maine. Saturday tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. Sunday, tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the gate. Your ticket purchase includes a commemorative wine glass and tastings during the event. NEW this year on Saturday ONLY is a $50 advance VIP ticket that includes exclusive access to the event one hour prior to standard ticket holder access. Also on Saturday ONLY is a special Reserve Chalet for only for $3,500. Chalet perks include 20 VIP tasting tickets with access to the event one-hour prior, reserved tables and seating in exclusive shaded area with light hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. A night of Big Band orchestral sounds by Glen Boswick and the Sound of Swing makes this evening for area seniors a must. Join King Neptune and the entire Royal Court for an evening of jitterbugging and waltzing the night away. Tickets are $15 a person and include light refreshments. BOARDWALK WEEKEND - Neptune Festival’s Grand Finale!

Highlights include a continual series of daily outdoor concerts along 35 blocks of the Boardwalk with a variety of live music at 31st, 24th and 17th Street Stages. In addition, over 275 artisans showcasing their talent during the Neptune Art & Craft Show; a spectacular Saturday night fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean; volleyball tournament; Atlantic Sailing Regatta; and an 8K and 5K run. Additionally, the Grand Parade features more than 100 floats, military units, costumed characters and marching bands along the oceanfront. Boardwalk Weekend’s signature event is the renowned Neptune’s International Sandsculpting Championship. Internationally known as the largest competition of its kind in the United States, this event has the richest prize purse in the country and draws professional sand artists from around the globe to cultivate their finest masterpieces. These showy sand masterpieces will be on display in the Neptune Sand Gallery, Neptune’s Kingdom of Sand, from Friday September 29– Sunday, October 8th. Admission to the sand gallery is $5.00 per adult with children 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult. Please note the tent is wheelchair accessible and dogs are NOT allowed inside the gallery.
