If your palate craves a worldwide wine and culinary adventure, it is time to take off and you had better move quickly. Early bird tickets to Neptune’s 15th Annual Spring Wine & Food Festival, featuring 70 wines from 9 countries, have already sold out and advance tickets are going fast. Seasoned Neptune Wine Festival enthusiasts know to secure their tickets early due to the high demand. This is one of the few area wine festivals where more time is spent tasting and less waiting in lines—the universal bane of wine festival guests. Top that with fresh ocean breezes, delectable food pairings, great musical entertainment and the backdrop of the beautiful Atlantic, and you will understand why this event consistently sells out.
By setting a cap on attendance and providing a myriad of tasting stations, guests are free to travel the world, sampling varietals from Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain and the US, including selections from local vintners, Mermaid Winery and Byrd Cellars. New this year and curated by Patrick Evans-Hylton of Virginia Eats & Drinks Magazine, delicious food pairings are being offered by some of the area’s most iconic restaurants, including Eurasia Café & Wine Bar, Press Wine Bar, Zoe’s Steaks & Seafood, Catch31 & Salcia, Stoley’s, and Rockafeller's Restaurant.
Also new this year, it’s Rosé-All-Day at the at the 2018 Spring Wine Fest Rosé Roundup tasting station. Enjoy the perfect segway into summer by exploring your favorite pink drink of the season.
Guests, satiated by delicious food and drink, will enjoy relaxing to live music by the BJ Griffin Trio and The Gold Sauce. Picnic coolers with outside food and soft drinks are permitted, but no outside alcohol.
While early bird tickets are sold out for this Saturday, May 12th event, advance tickets are still available for $40. After May 7th, tickets are $45. Each ticket includes a commemorative wine-tasting glass, wine tastings throughout the event, food sampling tickets and live music. A limited number of advance reserved tables are still available for $450, which include 8 tasting tickets. Only those 21 and older will be permitted to enter.
