52nd Annual Boardwalk Weekend
2024 marks the 50th anniversary for the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival! Every year, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival's many offerings — including concerts, artwork, sand sculptures, an 8k Race, a Grand Parade, an Atlantic regatta, activities for kids and more!

Poseidon’s Playground
Test your skills with cornhole, giant jenga, connect four, chess, and checkers…or try your hand at a Scavenger Hunt and Virginia Beach Trivia for the chance to win prizes! Dance it out to our house DJ or make your face a masterpiece with our face painters. Stilt Walkers, Magicians, and Balloon Artists will be in the park all weekend long!

Young and old surfers alike take to the ocean in this surf showdown. With prizes to be had, make your mark in the surf of Neptune Festival month! This event is produced in conjunction with the Eastern Surfing Association, but you do not need to be an ESA member to participate.
Touch-A-Truck
Touch-a-Truck is a unique, interactive event that allows children, young and old, to see and touch vehicles of all types — including public service, emergency, utility, construction, military, farming, and just plain cool — all in one place!

Neptune’s 8K Race
Join us for our 48th Annual Neptune's 8k Race — one of the area's oldest and best loved races! Enjoy ocean views as you travel along our fast and flat course during this beginner-level friendly race.
Sand + Street Soccer
Find your healthy haven at the Neptune Festival! Start your day off right with a free yoga session on the beach or attend a family-friendly fitness event to get your blood pumping. Free Boardwalk Barre, Beach Bootcamp, HIIT, and dance classes taught by local instructors.
Neptune Festival Grand Parade
Streets lined with people, colorful floats in all shapes and sizes, larger-than-life balloons, marching bands... all of which is just a small snapshot of Neptune's Grand Parade on Saturday. Find yourself the best spot on the block as you enjoy the music and sights of our many parade units.
