The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival announces the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors. The 36 total business leaders who comprise the Neptune Festival Board demonstrated a commitment to contributing to the quality of life in Virginia Beach.

Phyllis Anderson
Senior Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Sentara Healthcare

Phyllis is responsible for the Sentara’s marketing and corporate communications functions. She has extensive multi-industry experience and has been recognized on numerous lists of distinction, including Black Enterprise Magazine’s “Most Powerful Women in Business Healthcare.”


Adam Carroll
Attorney at Law, Wolcott Rivers Gates

Adam concentrates his litigation practice by handling both jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts. He is an accomplished trial lawyer and experienced criminal trial attorney. As counsel to the City of Portsmouth’s School Board, he advises them on complex issues.


Cheryl McLeskey
President and Chief Executive Officer, McLeskey and Associates

McLeskey and Associates is a family owned and operated commercial and residential real estate development and leasing company headquartered in Virginia Beach. Cheryl maintains a strong philanthropic presence in a diversified portfolio of organizations, and is an accomplished swimmer, a champion fisherman, and a licensed pilot.


Paul Merritt
Founder and Principal, NTrust Wealth Management

Co-founder of NTrust Wealth Management in 2009, Paul’s background includes a 21-year career in the US Army and employment with Merrill Lynch. He serves on the executive committee of Virginia Beach Vision, the board of directors for the Virginia Beach Chamber of Commerce, and belongs to the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council. He is a long-term supporter of the local St. Jude charities and has served for years on the organizing committee of the St. Jude/Bruce Rader Golf Tournament.


Kevin Paasch
President and CEO, Mass Mutual Commonwealth

Kevin has spent most of his career educating people about their financial needs. For the last 15 years, Kevin has dedicated his time assisting new advisors to become successful in their own careers in financial planning. Kevin speaks extensively throughout the country at various national conferences, financial firms, and many other events. He is a Virginia Beach born and raised native, graduate of Virginia Tech, and a strong supporter of the Neptune Festival.

The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival is a private, non-profit organization, producing over 40 events per year and serves as the City of Virginia Beach’s official celebration. Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend alone annually generates $23.5 million in economic impact, $16.9 million in direct impact by Boardwalk Weekend visitors, and $1.19 million in direct municipal taxes. Investing in and partnering with other regional businesses whenever possible, the Neptune Festival spends in excess of $1,000,000 with local businesses, service providers, vendors, and suppliers each year.
